With only one week to go to the National Championships IRC riders were beginning to show themselves in the last weekends events.
In Newry Willie Hamilton finished fourth on Stage 1 and rode strongly throughout the 3 day event.
In Paddy Flanagan 2 Day Greg Swinand was 6th on the first stage.
The IRC made it a 1-2 in the Time Trial with Neil winning the stage from Colm Cassidy.
Peter Hawkins finished second in the Crit in Kildare town and Colm finished 3rd overall with Neil 5th and Greg 6th.
Also up North first year Junior Marcus Christie competed in his first 25mile time trial. Surprise reide of the day went to Marcus who finished second behind TT specialist Paul Brady who clocked 54:57 at the woodgreen circuit. Marcus clocked a 55:52 to take second.
Marcus, Neil, Colm and Greg will all be competing in the National Time Trial Championships in Newcastlewest Co. Limerick. Best of luck to all.
