Usher IRC’s Day out at Cherry Orchard BMX
14 kids along with the bigger kids (the parents) ventured to Irelands new and only indoor BMX Track at Cherry Orchard Industrial Estate. Under the careful guidance of Liam Collins and Stephen Gibbons the kids were given a great opportunity to sample the track on both their own bikes and the stock of BMX bikes available for hire.
While the parents watched from the spectators gallery the kids got to grips with the start gate.
Soon after it was the turn of the parents to have a go. The Nelson twins who raced BMX back in the day showed little signs of having forgotten their skills while Dermot McMahon got to taste some of the dirt.
A great afternoon was had by all as everyone went to McDonalds after at Liffey Valley with the questions already being asked "when are we doing that again??" The kids were also enquiring.
