Training Weekend This Weekend
Usher Irish Road Club's training weekend will kick off from the Blue Gardenia pub in Brittas, this Saturday Morning.
We will meet at 10.30 and the first group will leave at 10.55. They will be
followed by the second group at 11 am.
The team car and van will be there to take bags. If riders have spare wheels
bring them up. Make sure your name is on them. If there is any punctures riders
will get a spare wheel.
The route down is Brittas, Baltinglass, Kiltegan, Hacketstown, Tinahealy [ there will
be a tea stop here] Carnew. At Carnew the group will split with a group doing a longer
route via Bunclody, Ferns, Camolin and Gorey. The other group will go Carnew, Cranford.
Camolin and Gorey. It is Hoped both groups will meet up by Hacketstown on the way down.
The route for the way back is , Gorey, Carnew,Shillelagh, Tullow, Rathvilly, Baltinglass
and back to Brittas. We will leave at 10.30. The distance back is 60 miles.
It is also hoped that the new club helmets will be available for this morning. If everybody could wear the new club kit on the Saturday morning for a few photos that would be great.
